The success of a nation is to a very large extent dependant on the effectiveness of its public policies and the efficiency of its public institutions. Hence ZITIC works to contribute to the efficacy of public policy by offering the following services to Government, private sector and the civil society:
  1. Advise the Government on the formulation of industrial and trade policies that makes the country an attractive destination for both local and foreign  investment;
  2. Lobby the Government to formulate policies that would enable local entrepreneurs’ access to  capital necessary to start and expand businesses;
  3. Lobby the Government and the business sector to instill a culture of good corporate governance that is predictable, transparent, consistent and accountable so as to ensure an enabling environment for business prosperity;
  4. Issue of regular publications to provide authentic information on various aspects of Government policy, procedures and regulations as well as facilities, investment opportunities and available incentives in various industrial sectors.
  5. Advocating investor-friendly Government policies that are predictable, transparent, accountable and open so as to improve Zambia’s international rating in having a pro-business environment;
  6. Advocating for special incentives to large international trading companies to set up base in Zambia to service the regional market;
  7. Lobbying Government to increase investment in infrastructure for the purpose of reducing private sector investment costs and improve corporate efficiency.
  8. Lobbying and assisting Government to formulate and implement policies that will contribute to growth and development in all areas such as economy, health, education, gender, environment, good governance, etc.
